ABSTRACT
I have not attempted to develop a unified theory of soul, community and social change. Clearly such a project would be fraught, and might possibly even ‘run against’ the grain of how ‘soul’ can open up conversations for community practitioners. A unified theory of soul would close down imagination and I actually want to push the other way, opening up, widening imaginative possibilities. Soul symbolises multiplicity, not unity.
