ABSTRACT

The aim of Training Options Analysis is to identify a set of options to deliver the required training in accordance with the training requirements defined by Collective Task Analysis, Training Environment Analysis and Training Overlay Analysis, taking account of constraints, assumptions, risks, and opportunities (CARO) that have been identified. In order to evaluate putative options a set of evaluation criteria have to be developed. Criteria may be categorised as essential and desirable. Criteria should be based on the solution to meet or address through life factors. Additional criteria may be derived from the constraints, assumptions, risks and opportunities that have been derived in the CARO Analysis. Key stakeholders should be consulted in the process of developing the criteria and the criteria should be agreed by the key stakeholders. Having identified the option evaluation criteria and developed a set of training options, the options can then be evaluated against these criteria.
