ABSTRACT

Every weekend for the last two months, John has volunteered at the local library reading to young children as part of a literacy initiative of a local nonprofit charity. He found out about this initiative from his employer, who partners with the charity to buy books for the library and schools in their region. John is surprised to discover that his volunteer efforts are featured in a company report as evidence of the businesses’ community orientation.
