ABSTRACT

Some donor-conceived people, recipient parents and donors will thus continue to search via other avenues in the hope of finding the information they seek.

Donor-conceived people who cannot access information via a register will often proceed to locating and seeking answers from the doctor, clinic or hospital where the insemination took place.20 For others, they may find that the doctor has since passed away, and they will need to find where the doctor’s records are now kept (if they haven’t been destroyed), before having to ask whether the current holder of such records will give them information.
