ABSTRACT
Because Nietzsche dismissed all notions of transcendence in the material universe, his criticisms of Kierkegaard would revolve upon situating all Christian endeavor within the universal drive for power. Any pretense of love and selflessness would be regarded as spiritual subterfuge towards this all-encompassing goal.
