ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the relationship between business ethics and values-driven management in the experience and authenticity economy, which is a strategic communication and management tool, which focuses on ethics and social responsibility. It discusses the role of values in today's society and how values must be defined and analyzed within the company's culture, communication, and organization theory. If people understand values and values-driven management on the basis of the late modern society diagnosis, it becomes clear that values must be central in management and business development. The chapter defines values-driven management as an instrument to articulate the values that realizes the company's ethics in practice. Values and business ethics express the company's changing status in a globalized post-modern and cosmopolitan context. Values-driven management can be defined as the practical realization of business ethics. It is characteristic that ethics is formulated through the companies' written description of their vision, mission, or values.
