ABSTRACT

The news media today can rarely afford to try to change society. It has to change with it. The media needs to transform itself, adapt, change, reinvent, and look around for inspiration. These are the basic assumptions of my essay here, and in making them I have chosen interchangeable backdrops of old media standards (or the print media), current economic situations, external relations and internal security aspects, as well as the sheer survival of the media as we know it today. There is also the impact of bad politics (or politicians) to be seriously considered.
