ABSTRACT

This chapter highlights some aspects of one's visit, with the aim of understanding why people need to consider the presence of tours and the types of interactions they engage in. The social development that the revolution strived for is becoming unique in this age of globalisation and neoliberalism because it offers very particular insights into alternative models. However, the key problem Centre for Information and Study of InterAmerican Relations (CIERI) identified was a lack of feeling of belonging, as many of the residents had come from urban communities such as Centro Habana. The World Bank observes that Cuban education is outstanding in its achievements of universal school attendance, high adult literacy levels, high female representation at all levels of education and access to basic educational opportunity across the country. While the World Health Organisation rates Cuba as one of the highest in Latin America for its level of healthcare services, Cuba did face significant challenges at outset of the revolution.
