ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts covered in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book outlines several reasons examining why it is time to dismantle traditional diversity management frameworks. It explores how certain countries perform when it comes to social justice and the Rule of Law. Historically, the United States of America has positioned itself as the bastion, the global instigator and champion of social justice and diversity management. The book offers a global picture of social justice and highlights the cultures that perform best and worst in this category. It urges to explore more closely the cultural ingredients for exemplary systems of social justice, to borrow ingredients, and to apply them to the diversity management strategies in order to make them more effective in enabling organizations to achieve greater social justice through their diversity and inclusion objectives.
