ABSTRACT

An induction process extends through a longer period of time and covers more aspects of assimilating the new employee. Participants choose an introductory paper with either a coffee mug or a teacup drawn on it. They put their name and job title on the paper and then decorate the cup or mug in some way that says something about them. Thin card with teacups or coffee mugs printed on them and assorted coloured markers. Ask participants to put their name and job title on the paper and to decorate the cup or mug in some way that says something about them. For example, they might choose to write a saying on the cup or mug that describes them in some way, such as 'rather be playing golf', or they might draw the Eiffel Tower to indicate a trip they have taken recently. Have participants submit an electronic cup and post all the cups and mugs on the induction website.
