ABSTRACT

The three big issues that have confronted businesses over the last ten years remain fixed firmly high on the management agenda:

globalisation – the need and ability to leverage opportunities (and manage risks) on a truly international basis, enabling access to new skills, know-how, and resources (not just cost arbitrage);

information technology – enabling the adoption, internalisation and realisation of the benefits from new technologies to the advantage of the firm;

innovation – the imperative to constantly and consistently innovate and change in the context of world markets and technological progress.
