Some qualitative notes on chaos and fractals

Similarly, the natural world around us, in spite of its outward beauty, apparent regularity and longevity, is also in fact made up of highly sensitive clusters and systems, and a multitude of patterns can be perceived at different scales or layers. Often these patterns, layers and overall systems are disrupted by unpredicted events, be it at macro level, at micro level or at the molecular level. This is what the real nature of Nature is about: a dynamical state of impermanence, constantly readjusting to a new state of equilibrium, between what is and what will be. In a word: chaos.
