Three vessels have happened to enter the port. He took two, but the third, which was from Jamaica laden with cazabi, defended itself and put into an inlet which is near Gaspar Bernal's estate of Los Piques. With some Indian bowmen and four soldiers he had on his estate he sallied to its assistance and they killed a captain1 of whom Francis was very fond (he much regretted his death) and another of whom not so much was said.
