ABSTRACT

Up to the present nothing more is known nor have I been able to learn anything further, but I am certain that the enemy has an establishment there because it is so suitable a position from which to sally upon these Indies whenever they may desire, for they say they are settled directly west of Bermuda and so, because this would make them such close neighbours, I am as worried as though I knew certainly that they were there. Even if they are not, nothing is lost by being vigilant, for I have no other business in which to occupy myself.
