ABSTRACT
In 2012 an infant orangutan was confiscated from a villager in Southwest Aceh, Sumatra. The villager intended to sell him as a pet. He was two when he was found, malnourished, and very thin. His prospects for survival were poor. He was transferred to a quarantine and care centre where he began his recovery and growth.
