ABSTRACT

The concern for circulating South-South ideas and incorporating networks among intellectuals of peripheral regions is a recent issue in academia. However, this academic interest must be differentiated from the actual existence of clearly older circulation of thoughts and networks. Contacts among intellectuals of the peripheral regions have been scarce and have developed in a slow and difficult manner. Despite the fact that very few studies have been done regarding such intellectualities2 and their networks, there have been more connections among different eidetic-intellectual environments than one would tend to believe. This chapter aims at refreshing memory regarding some episodes of the intellectual relations among different peripheral regions. It explores the ways in which the intellectual networks were set up in different places of the peripheral world and how they articulated with each other.
