Larger programmes are typically promoted by partners who share resources, funding and risks and are directly involved in the programme. On the one hand they are dening and regulating the work and on the other hand they are also contributing directly to programmes. Hence they inŒuence the denition, planning and outcomes of most programmes. Main partners in programmes are usually market participants in customer and supplier relationships. Non-prot organizations or authorities can also be involved. By dening requirements, delivering know-how and products, or approving and releasing programme deliverables, partners play a crucial role for the success of programmes.
