ABSTRACT
Introduction victorian terraced houses are familiar to everyone but are not always a valued contribution to our built heritage. As a result of regeneration programmes, sustainability, and health and safety legislation, these houses have come into focus as a type that needs considerable intervention if twenty-first-century housing needs are to be met.
