In this chapter, I clarify the term project personnel, which is a major but heterogeneous group of personnel in the project-oriented organization. What they share is that they work on projects, either on one or several projects, either solely on projects or also in the permanent organization. I then describe the challenges that arise for project personnel in project-oriented organizations. I reflect on positive and negative aspects of these challenges, and derive HRM-related potentials of project-oriented organizations, while considering employee well-being.
