On human rights and human duties: Is there a moral obligation to inclusion?

Education is a human right. It is an essential prerequisite for participation in social life and must be made available to everyone. This principle is expressed in the guiding idea of “Education for All” and – at least rhetorically – the “inclusive education” that has become a global standard. But the right alone does not guarantee unimpeded and equal access for everyone to education (cf. Johnson 2013).
