ABSTRACT

The guidance on protocols for reporting and recording data should ensure that all team members can access and understand the outputs from each other and that the overall results across the team are consistent. Organizational memory will be created from documentation throughout the virtual team's life cycle, and is thus one of the most critical outputs from the team's existence. As the individual team members work in discrete packages during the time between team meetings, the way in which they perform their work is often the same as if they were not part of a virtual team. Reporting also includes minutes that should be taken at all meetings and then made available to the team. Documents will be prepared by an individual or individuals in the virtual team. A database-supported website would allow the group to input their results, allow the rest of the team to read them and then either modify the document or suggest changes.
