ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book examines briefly on political implications with respect to issues of government and governance too, in order to offer some ideas on what may form adequate responses to the new challenges at stake and ahead. It also examines interpretations of the 'industrial transition' notion using advanced Internet search engines, the author mainly find s divergent and vague connotations of changes on the shop floor of factories, of new industrial landscapes, and some connections with the post-industrial society. Public policies and governance processes represent another set of drivers for 'industrial transition' highlighted in this book. A last major driver of industrial change that receives particular attention in this book is, of course, the widening role and scope of industrial activities in newly emerging economies in Asia.
