ABSTRACT

We now turn from origination to foundation, on the path of renewal, and as such from inner and outer Calling to Context for self and ultimately societal Actualization, indeed most specifically here drawing on our Integral Worlds (see Chapter 1). As such we draw generally on so-called ‘interpretive hermeneutics’ (1), both European and African versions as we shall see, to set the foundational context for your fusing of horizons, between self and other, tradition and modernity: hence self-actualization. More specifically, as we shall see, such a fusions of horizons, thereby recognizing and with a view to alleviating imbalances, thereby actualizing yourself through your interpretive research, serves to link one culture or Reality with another, one discipline or knowledge Realm with another, one person and another (Rounds), and ultimately the different levels or layers of a transformational trajectory (Rhythm).
