ABSTRACT

Government and contractors approach projects from opposite viewpoints. Contractors are in business to make money. The project is the means by which they make it. For Government, it’s the other way round. The project is what Government is there to do and money is the way to make it happen. A well-drafted contract puts the two together so Government ends up with a completed project and the contractor ends up with the money. With a badly-drafted contract, they both end up in court.
