ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at that process and some of the techniques it employs. Different people may need different levels of detail and different types of information. Some people only want the executive summary, while others thrive on as much detail as they can give them. The significance of the issues identified by the review team: Recommendations for substantial or contentious changes need to be backed by appropriate evidence. Review teams need to balance these factors against the available budget and the potential benefits of investing resources elsewhere. The process is drawn as a loop, with no explicit starting point. The analysis loop also emphasizes that reviews tend to be iterative. There is often a natural order in which to review aspects of the project. A central log is particularly useful on large reviews where reviewers may be operating in parallel strands. Document review is a great way to improve the quality of the documents themselves.
