ABSTRACT

In 2015, 19 per cent of the cases opened by Unia involved the criteria of religious or philosophical beliefs. Leaders working in the field are turning to pragmatic solutions in response to the current situation. The search for pragmatic solutions is also the focus of much of Unia's work, as litigation is only pursued in a small minority of situations. Unia has been active for many years on the issue of religious diversity: by offering pathways to solutions, but above all, offering a method based on dialogue, aimed at promoting free speech, and eradicating the legitimate concerns and fears expressed by many stakeholders in the social, economic and cultural life of the country. Issues concerning discrimination at work relating to religious beliefs must be dealt with and resolved, first and foremost, like any other interpersonal social conflict: by taking into account the realities of an increasingly diverse society.
