ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts of key concepts discussed in the previous chapters of this book. The book provides important information in response to basic questions about Indian Christian migrations. It provides evidence that some immigrants with roots in South Asia convert to Christianity after immigration. These research reports mark an advance in the study of South Asian Christians in the West. Careful national studies of discrete Christian groups are essential foundations for future research on the changing face of Christianity and religion in Europe and North America. A new diverse group of scholars with transnational ties is prepared to conduct future research. Several trajectories for that research emerge from these studies. A historical atlas of migration of Christians in relation to migration of other South Asian religions is needed in order to put current migrations in appropriate historical contests. A timeline of migrations and a careful analysis of geographical distributions provide the statistics needed to analyse Christian diversities.
