Of the kingdoms which border on China; in which notice is given of its greatness; and it is declared to border on the edge of Almayne 1 for it treats of two Russias, and of how one of them confines with China.

Among the many and great kingdoms which adjoin China, ZA running along it from above the lake whence originates the river Thanas on the European side, which belongs to Scythia and is part of it. It seems clear that China borders on the end of Almayne; and that whereas Russia is part of Scythia on its European side, the end of it seems clearly to be a part of China.
