ABSTRACT
This extremely complicated manuscript also contains some of the earliest carol music, from the second decade of the century, though copying seems to have been somewhat later. Greene’s proposal that it originated in Worcester and its Bishop Alcock is dismissed, though no clear origin is proposed.
