ABSTRACT

This chapter presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book began with the story of a management team who were going through the experience of having their thinking challenged and exposed during the strategy map design process. It is about management meetings and how one review and revises their strategy maps. The book is about the quality of one's analysis and action during implementation. The strategic learning model introduced two levels of performance management: operational and strategic. The strategic learning model emphasizes strategic communication and looks for evidence that it is having an effect. The book explains how to review one's strategy as it is implemented. It splits into three main parts: the review of operations, the review of the strategy and the review by the management team of their own performance.
