At the heart of a spirituality of reconciliation is remembrance, as an antidote to forgetting and as a way of authentic storytelling. Remembrance is also a key concept to understanding liturgy, as Wolterstor explains. This chapter demonstrates the rich potential of the concept for our question how the story of the liturgy can connect to the narratives of suering people. In the rst section, remembrance as a concept is grounded in narrative, so it ts well with the present research. Second, it is also a thoroughly biblical concept. The third section demonstrates how intertwined remembrance is with the Eucharist. Finally, we will comment on the importance of remembrance for the whole of the liturgy and in relation with the rest of life.
