ABSTRACT
Naval operations during the Korean War related not only to combat actions in the skies over the peninsula and the waters lapping its shores but to the entire East Asian theater of conflict. The naval forces of nine United Nations (UN) member states participated in the three-year fight, and Soviet, Chinese Communist, and North Korean naval forces posed a threat to allied operations throughout the international struggle.
