Morgan with the Horse Team and the five Drays left Adelaide after the Public Breakfast, and encamped for the night on the Dry Creek, 1 thus commencing by this short stage their long and doubtful Journey. I myself after riding with about two hundred gentlemen to the same place, turned off the main road, and returned to my residence at Grange to breathe awhile from the confusion and anxiety of the last few weeks.
