Not more than four years after the Nagoya accident, another A300-600R plane crashed when landing. This time the accident was right in front of its own home.
On February 16, 1998, at 8:05pm (20:05), the CKS Airport control tower announced an emergency warning: China Airlines Flight 676 lost contact with the tower. The north and south stations of the fire department immediately sent out all the fire engines to look for the plane. A foreboding atmosphere filled the entire airport.
