ABSTRACT
Income distribution is an acutely sensitive topic. It has the ability to arouse extreme emotions among people and it is also highly disputed among economists. Reaching any kind of consensus on the subject is not an easy task, given the many aspects that are involved, but over-simplification has the effect of misguiding both policies and social understanding.
