ABSTRACT
Several types of equipment, processes or combination of processes are possible for a certain energy function or energy conversion process. The question becomes: which of these alternatives is best from an economic point of view? What can the alternatives contribute in terms of cost, cost savings, cost effective energy efficiency improvement or emission reduction?
