ABSTRACT
Introduction – what is EU supremacy? The modern European Union is the product of a series of treaties entered into over the years. It will be recalled that the first of these were the ECSC Treaty, the EEC Treaty and the Euratom Treaty in the 1950s. These three founding treaties, like their successors, were all international agreements entered into between nation states within Europe which became the founding members of the communities which the treaties established.
