ABSTRACT

At first glance, node networks appear to be strange, spaghetti-like tangles of tiny boxes. However, with a little practice and thoughtful application, they become a powerful means to create custom composites. Much like layer-based compositing programs, node networks provide a means to read and write footage, apply specialized filters, and undertake common compositing tasks such as green screen removal, rotoscoping, and motion tracking. You can connect nodes in an almost infinite number of ways when you follow the basic rules of input and output connections.
