Etymological Argumentation as A Category of Historiographic Thought in Historical Writings of Bohemia, Poland and Hungary

They say that he [Krak] had two sons and a daughter. The younger, named Krak, in order to succeed his father, cunningly and in secret killed his brother. He died alone and childless, leaving behind only his sister named Wanda, which in Latin means a ‘hook’. It is written that she was so beautiful and pleasing that she made all those who looked at her fall in love by her attractive looks. And this is why she was called Wanda, that is, a ‘hook’. ¹
