ABSTRACT

IRV BAUER has mentored many an up-and-coming Hollywood director and writer and is often called upon to consult on screenplays at various stages of pre-production and production, both in the United States and in Europe and Australia. As an educator, Irv taught screenwriting at New York University at the Tisch School of the Arts Film School in the undergraduate school, at The Sarah Lawrence College Writing Institute Extension Program, at the University of Washington, and in master classes at Cornell. He taught playwriting at the University of Bridgeport and the Minneapolis Playwright’s Lab at its inception. He also led many a successful non-performance workshop for writers at the New Dramatists in New York.
