ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book argues for a scientificity that is about imperfect information where incompleteness and indeterminacy are assets, more central elements of a scientific posture of getting lost as a way of knowing. It offers a reading of postmodernism toward articulating what is at stake for research-based knowledge in particular moment. Trying to be attentive to continuities as well as ruptures and discontinuities across the complex operations at play, the book presents such movement as provisional, fragmenting, and heterogeneous. As an effort to identify and amplify what is already begun, this has been a tale of how the postmodern is enacted, constructed in a time and place where the juxtaposition of postmodernism and feminist methodology might found a dynamic out of their divergence in transitioning toward new openings in clearly contested space.
