ABSTRACT

An internship is a step, a first step in the career in the entertainment industry. It is not an elevator. Perhaps one of the most dangerous things that can happen during in internship is that the person starts to think that just because they are working at a station, or studio, or other facility in the business, they have made it. Some internships result in jobs, more do not. Nearly everything in the entertainment industry works on a deadline. One has to treat his/her internship as any other paying job. With the exception of other interns, everyone people come into contact with will be a professional, so follow the same rules they're expected to follow. This includes their work habits, dress, behavior, and attitude. Reliability is a major part of being successful in any industry and the entertainment industry is not any different.
