ABSTRACT

The internship is something that is currently under review by people legal system. When does work being done stop being an internship and become an actual job, which under Federal Labor Law has to result in the person being paid at least the minimum wage and overtime compensation for any hours over 40 worked within a workweek. The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the employer, is similar to training, which would be given in an educational environment. An internship is where it all starts to come together. It's the link between a classroom setting and the real world. An internship is Intern first chance to see how the classes that may have seemed unrelated actually make sense in a real world workplace. That is a very important reason many entry-level employers want they too have done at least one internship.
