ABSTRACT
Gypsum whisker was hydrothermally synthesized by purification of phosphogypsum, washed with water and screened with vibration, which removed phosphoric acid compound, halide ion and water-solvent compounds and abandoned the weak radioactive compounds with uranium and thorium. The resultant product has a large length-diameter ratio with a high tensile strength, modulus of elasticity and flame retardant and good morphology with the same radium in a bunch, which is a very broad prospect in resin, rubber, paint, paper, friction materials, building materials, sealing materials and insulation materials.
