ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book accounts of the events, their wider background and the legal and philosophical reasoning that came to bear on the case. It aims to encourage further exploration of legal themes. There are many varieties of legal food for thought, and something, therefore, appealing to almost every taste. Many people who study law develop specialist areas of interest or expertise. Choosing such specialist interests is best done after developing a wide knowledge of the field in general. No less important for a lawyer is the cultivation of the imaginative faculties by reading poetry, seeing great paintings, in the original or in easily available reproductions, and listening to great music. Among the great lawyers whose work all those who study law, or like to read about it, should know are the doyens of the legal profession.
