ABSTRACT

You might think being elected president would be sufficient. You are famous, perhaps the most well-known person in the world. You are certain to be in the history books, to have your name memorized by schoolchildren for ages to come. Many things will be named after you – buildings, streets, towns. George Washington, the nation’s first president, has among other things Washington, DC, the Washington Monument, and George Washington University, where one of us teaches, named after him.
