ABSTRACT
I have already mentioned the “five stages of shame”. I recounted, during Chapter 1, how I once left for a shoot without a tape
on which to record – and how I have never made that mistake since. I discussed the importance, for all photographers but particularly solo video journalists, of developing a system for one’s gear; doing so simplifies the job and eliminates variables in what can often be an unpredictable environment.
