ABSTRACT
When it comes to development thinking, the post-WWII era was a fruitful one in Latin America. With epicentre in the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC, or CEPAL for its name in Spanish), first structuralism and then dependency analyses provided original theories on the development process.
