ABSTRACT

This study began with an interest to know more about how African American students experience Christian education in white majority ADCPs. Given the lack of literature about African American experiences in adult education in faith-based contexts, this book contributes new information to the discussion of how race, adult education, and faith intersect. The “Breaking the Cycle” Model applies broadly to educational structures in degree-seeking and nondegree-seeking institutions as well as nonacademic, faith-based organizations.
