ABSTRACT

The 5.1 Standards represent a synthesis of literature pertaining to effective report content considerations. Each report must remain up-to-date with changing legislation. Standard 5.1.01 keeps report contents current with changing: legislation, user needs, research developments such as those concerning users' data needs, and technology developments. Standard 5.1.02 caters design contents to the report's pre-determined audience(s) in terms of it's: knowledge and skills, role and how it will use the report, and region. Report suite refers to the collection of reports within the data system or other reporting environment, and it concerns how all of the reports function as a whole. The 5.2 Standards represent a synthesis of literature pertaining to effective content considerations for an entire report suite. These standards utilize a predominantly proactive design model for report development and maintenance where the core suite of reports is preplanned in a centralized fashion.
